FOUR DECADES ON THE NEW YORK SCENE
01 / THE ARTIST
Rooted in jazz.
Always listening.

From New York City to the Hudson Valley, Rich Syracuse has spent more than four decades making music and sharing it.
A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and recipient of the Congress of Strings Award, Rich’s career spans jazz, contemporary music and international touring.
He built a long-standing musical relationship with the Nick Brignola Quartet and played bass with pianist Lee Shaw for more than 22 years. His collaborations include Mose Allison, Kurt Elling, Dave Liebman, John Medeski and the Brubeck Brothers.
Alongside performing on string and electric bass, Rich brings that experience to his work as a composer and educator.
